Do you know what most teams or players get paid to play in the world cup?

I heard the aussie team players get 20-30k per game.

Heard lebanon players are on $30 a day.Is this a G up or is that how low they get paid?

Anyone got figures?

All the players have flights, accommodation and a per diem of $30 paid for by RLWC.

Additional match payments are the responsibility of each nation.

Is it really so surprising that the richest governing bodies can afford to pay their players more than teams that have only been playing RL for 20 years?

They aren't being paid to "play in the world cup"!!

Aussie players are paid by the ARLC for representing their country! Same goes for the kiwis and English..our governing bodies are relatively wealthy and so can pay substantial match fee's..

I've said this many times in recent weeks..if 2nd tier nations want to play their players more then they need to go out and increase their revenue so they can pay their players bigger match fee's!

Ok,

So your saying each player in the world cup gets accommodation, travel paid for them and gets 30 bucks a day from the RLWC?

Then there respected federations, maybe businesses and sponsors pay the team/players on top?

Correct.

Don't listen to idiots like Matt Parish.

Tier 1 nation players should get paid less, instead of the tier 2s getting more. Playing for your country isn't something you do because you get paid for it.

Getting an all-expenses trip to the World Cup, often on the other side of the world, while representing your country and playing against the best players the sport has to offer...if you then want more money for it then Christ you must have it pretty good.

Funnily enough it's dickheads like Parish wanting more money for his NRL players and not the part-time or amateur players who had to take time off work to play.

Tonga v Samoa in nz,during the test weekend, where they are able to sell out a stadium, sell sponsorships and media rights could easily be worth a couple of million dollars a year..

And then they'll be able to pay their players more!

Do national bodies get paid for taking part? Is it flat rate or depending on how far you go into the comp?

Tickets were cheap for the gane but that game was organised and promoted by NZRL World Cup organisers. Key to value is Aus tv ratings.
