How often do the favourites win?

Of course it would be different per betting agency, but how often do the favorites win? Im sure I read a percentage on it a while ago, somewhere around the 64% mark but not to sure.

I did a tipping comp a while ago, and the average amount of tips that the winner got right was 58%, so Im thinking if I just copy the favourite every week, I should then have a correct tipping percentage greater? (yes, I am aware that that could say more about the tippers I was against)

What about picking the home teams every week (except Cronulla) .wouldn't that be up in the 60%+ ?.
I have heard some people even use form to select winners.

I pick my teams on the basis of their looks so... my favorites don't win that often.
