Hurstville Council defends OKI Jubilee Stadium

[FONT=Geneva, Arial, Sans-serif]Hurstville Council tonight passed the following motion in support of Kogarah’s OKI Jubilee Stadium:[/FONT]

[FONT=Geneva, Arial, Sans-serif]"That Council expresses its concern regarding the decision of the St George-Illawarra Dragons rugby league club to move next year’s scheduled matches from Oki Jubilee Stadium to Telstra Stadium, noting the committed effort by local supporters to bring the club back to the local district and the contribution of Council towards previous redevelopment works."[/FONT]

[FONT=Geneva, Arial, Sans-serif]The motion was put forward by Councillor Steve McMahon who enthusiastically stated that "OKI Jubilee Stadium has the best atmosphere of any NRL ground anywhere.[/FONT]
