im looking for information on a british player called john burke who spent some time in 1976 with souths . theres no chance john would have scored a try or a goal but info on games played would be great .
john was a top front rower in the days of real hard men and played for leeds .castleford and wakefield as well as great britain .well known as a hard tackling forward if a little late at times (sent off 21 times ) . on the pitch a fearsome player off the pitch a real gentleman with time for everyone from kids to even old sods like me .
he died on june 9th 2013 aged 65 im sorry to say .
