Is Tedesco the best fullback in the NRL?

4 line breaks tonight and he did the work for most of them. If he is still doing this in 12 months time and he gets the nsw gig it will be hard to say he isn't the best.

Dugan can't do the what Tedesco does. I wouldn't call him the best in the game yet, but he is certainly NSW best.

Tedesco craps all over Duges from a great height. Duges is also soft, it is embarrassing watching him roll around in a heap at least once a weak like he has some sort of life threatening injury.

Dugans not in nsw's best 3 fullbacks. But Laurie and bozo will ensure the spot is his for life.

Tedesco will have his chance at origin but it won't be at the expense of Dugan. Dugan has the fullback Jersey locked up for next 5 years and rightfully so, the only displacing him from the number 1 is Jarryd Hayne if he comes back. If there's an injury to an outside back Tedesco would be next in line to replace him, in the future I see Tedesco grabbing a wing spot likely when the Morris brothers retire and holding onto it for the best part of a decade.

Illiterate and innumerate all at the same time.
If The Duges doesn't roll around in agony at least 4-5 times a game he isn't having a go.

tedesco would have been better off going to raiders. with him and austin, raiders would nearly be a top 4 team. selfish wobbie just had to get in his ear though

You could say that, but we could also say that your old man should have just settled for a blowjob the night you were conceived but things just don't always pan out the way we want them to sometimes...

He also has a beautiful beard.

It's so full and well manicured.

What a guy.

He's a total dreamboat.

I'd take him over Inglis any day of the week. Doesn't go missing for large chunks of a match.

And he absolutely sh!ts on Dugan. Laurie will stick with Dugan because he's a f*cking idiot and it's the safe option, but if we're going to beat QLD we need to take a few chances.

Tedesco is a very special player and he can do things no other fullback in NSW can do. He also needs to play fullback and given licence to roam. He'd be wasted on the wing. It would make much more sense to have Teddy fullback and Dugan on the wing or in the centres. He was killing it in the centres last year.

Dugan to replace Hopoate on the wing

Tedesco > Fullback

Doesn't matter what position he plays he needs to be in that team next year. Way too good not to

You fellas need to be careful trying to compare someone to The Duges. There was a thread on it once about another bloke vs The Duges, and that bloke had to leave the country.

Have you not seem how slow he is??? Didn't you see him trying to run down Inglis only to get burned then fall over and wiping out Hoppa who was actually gaining ground

Was comical.

He's a fullback or centre and no way is he displacing Josh Morris for the centre spot.

We should really take out time with Teddy, he's got the best part of a decade to play rep footy and he'll have his chance soon enough, I just can't see it coming next year.

In the future I see an outside backline looking something like this for NSW:

1. Josh Dugan
2. James Tedesco
3. Michael Jennings/Latrell Mitchell
4. Blake Ferguson
5. Tom Trbojevic

Tedesco is doing this in a team that quite frankly sucks. I just can't wait to see what he can do in rep sides outside decent players.

Oh wait there are no good NSW halves.

Roosters seems to think so, they are him offering 6 million over 5 years.

Mitchell Moses turns down Wests Tigers offer, asks for release to join Parramatta

WESTS Tigers five-eighth Mitchell Moses has quit the club — and star teammate James Tedesco could be joining him in the exit queue.

On the day Moses shocked Wests Tigers by joining Parramatta, The Daily Telegraph can reveal Sydney Roosters have dramatically re-ignited their interest in off-contract Tedesco.

And the Roosters could offer Tedesco a five-year, $6 million deal.

Moses’ original offer from Wests Tigers, formally tabled last Friday and worth $3 million over three years, was reviewed — not withdrawn — after surprised NRL clubs were told of the proposed salary cap for next season, which was considerably less than what had been expected.

After emails and phone calls were exchanged on Wednesday morning, Isaac Moses, manager of Mitchell, sought an immediate release for his client.

The request took Wests Tigers by surprise and is expected to be denied.

Mitchell Moses is expected to play out this season at Concord before joining Parramatta — where he will partner Corey Norman at the scrum-base — on a three-year deal worth $2.2 million.

And the money saved by Wests Tigers can be now thrown at Tedesco, who has officially become a priority, along with skipper Aaron Woods.

Aware the Sydney Roosters are again circling, the Tigers can now throw mega-bucks at Tedesco. The Tigers know they will need plenty of cash if forced into a bidding war with the Roosters over Tedesco.

The Daily Telegraph understands the Roosters and Tedesco’s manager, Isaac Moses, have been in official contact and a meeting between the two parties has been convened.

Roosters officials and Tedesco, 24, had spoken late last year before discussions ground to a halt when the Blues fullback indicated he wanted to remain at Concord.

It can be revealed the Roosters were ready to lodge a $6 million deal over five years at the time.

Moses’ revised offer from Wests Tigers was said to be around $300,000 less than the original offer.

New Tigers coach Ivan Cleary supported Moses’ re-assessed offer.

Should Wests Tigers suddenly grant Moses a release, his frst game for Parramatta would ironically be against Wests Tigers at ANZ Stadium on Easter Monday.

Earlier this year, it was revealed Roosters chairman Nick Politis would not deal with Isaac Moses after Mitchell Moses agreed to join the Roosters last year, only to backflip.

That decision angered Politis, who is still reluctant to negotiate with any players managed by Moses.

Roosters coach Trent Robinson however has made contact with the Tedesco camp and while no offer has been lodged, dialogue between the two parties is on-going.

Wests Tigers have offered Tedesco a four-year deal worth about $4.5 million.

There are third parties involved in the Roosters’ bid to wrestle Tedesco from Concord to Bondi. It is also understood other clubs are privately pursing Tedesco, a clear favourite to retain his NSW fullback spot for this year.

The Roosters development comes after The Daily Telegraph last week revealed St George Illawarra head of rugby league pathways, Ian Millward, has also made contact with Tedesco. And Canterbury has also been touted as harbouring a strong desire to open talks with Tedesco.

Robinson and The Daily Telegraph exchanged text messages but the Roosters coach said he “wouldn’t talk about recruitment’’.

“I can’t help out,” Robinson texted.

Tedesco has always expressed a desire to remain at Wests Tigers. Those close to him at the club claim Tedesco is still likely to remain but the Roosters present a real threat to Wests Tigers.

It is understood halfback Luke Brooks has already agreed to a new two-year retention deal worth around $550,000 a season - but the club wouldn’t confirm or deny the contract. Woods is considering a three-year offer from Wests Tigers.

The Fab Four, though, has officially split.

Canterbury is said to be circling the four players but Cooper Cronk’s sudden appearance on the NRL open market has forced some clubs to quickly alter their recruitment plans. There is talk Canterbury may be looking to shop around fullback Will Hopoate. That move could leave the door ajar for the Bulldogs to have a red-hot crack at Tedesco.

Wests Tigers leave for Townsville on Friday to prepare for Saturday night’s big match against North Queensland, Cleary’s first in charge"
