it appears that the Dragons have taken on board that they needed to communicate more effectively what is happening at the club

Do u think this is true?

Secondly what is missing that can be freely discussed in the public domain ?

Yes as to the change in philosophy from cut price fringe FG acquisitions at overs to maintain and promote our best juniors

No as to the Bruce Gordon takeover, probably means it is dead. If it isn't kindly tell us so.

No as to where the team will play going forward. Right game right venue NRL headquarters style has been a failure, tells us this policy is under review. Now that the Kogarah Oval lease is up the club should renegotiate favourable terms. Packing 15-20,000 people in to ANZ does not create a home ground atmosphere.

No as to whether corporate governance/board/coaching change will be made, am tired hearing about meaningless reviews. A review without clear consequences and direction is worthless. It doesn't appease the fans, it only makes us more angry.

No.....DragonsTV is a joke.
If they expanded it....ala Liverpool fc tv.....they could interview legends of the game, show footage of historical games, have studio segments where a panel discusses the team performance, etc.
This could attract more than just die-hard supporters and more sponsorship.
The club is run by dinosaurs......and we all can see where it is headed with them in charge.

I actually think the commutation to public is better. They've quashed rumours about recruitment atleast twice - almost immediately after the conjecture started.

Beyond that we've seen a little more training on Dragons TV. The range of player interviews has always been good - and continues.

The recruitment manager and the strength/conditioning guy seem free to speak their minds. This indicates they have the autonomy they need to operate.

Also a lot less of Mary.

not enough is been done, Mary should have had a third term and Demitrio should have been given a shot, The players really looked up to him.
Although Im happy with our Junior retention,

kyussiscoming73 makes an excellent point when suggesting Dragons TV should have "studio segments where a panel discusses the team performance". A realistic appraisal of Dragons' performances: praise where deserved, constructive criticism when required. Guys like Shaun Timmins, Nathan Fien, Matt Cooper giving honest opinions. This would be so much more positive for fans than the coach's press conferences - Price's "we're a proud club, we will work harder at training"; Mary's "we're known for our D", "they scored 3 tries from kicks".
In response to A. Gerald, I think there has been some improvement in communication. Ian Millward talks with a degree of logic absent from the Head Coach's intellectual repertoire. Analysing players' strengths and what the club needs provides supporters with some confidence that the club has strategies in place. He is a far better communicator and thus better fronting the camera than Mary and Doust who is so full of Brandspeak.

Dragonsteve2, if they could get guys like Timmins, Fien and Cooper then Dragons tv would have their own footy show....not like the rubbish dished up by Fatty.
If the fans like the concept, they could expand the concept throughout the St George heartland, visiting a new town each week......Allawah pub, Batemans Bay RSL, St George leagues, etc.
If they want more RedV members and more sponsorship dollars this would help.

At the end of the day... is the communication where it should be?
NO.
But.... there has been an improvement on last year.
We are not that far off in comparison to other clubs communication with the fans.
Lets just hope we dont revert back to old ways. Lets hope the impovements keep happening.
