At this stage the only offical word we have had from Souths is Russel Richardson is retiring after saturday Night.

I can see why Richardson is retiring. His career is ruined.

As for Smith, I can't blame him for wanting to leave. But if he IS released, it just shows how stupid your admin is.

Just found out that Richo is looking at ending his retirement plans and joining the Knights next season. He's got a pub up there to run but will hold talks about running around with knights.

As for Smith, i'd really like to know what the REAL reason for him being released is? I cant believe they'd do that, next thing, they release Fletcher too............what a joke!

ummm, if you don't know whats going on, then don't comment. Smith has not been released, it was another tribute to the 'professional' rleague site. They put stories on their front page that are based on rumours and lies and Pappas is pissed off royally about it all. Souths never granted Smith a release and Smith never asked for one. Don't believe all that you read, especially on rleague. That site is dying and here is an example of the reason why.
