Perhaps, though surely the players regard playing for Australia as a huge honour. But at the same time it's understandable that some players may want a break after a long and tough season.

Our depth is good, but I think the poms can knock as off. Thats assuming they don't lose half a dozen stars. Farrell is meant to be doubtful at the moment, and I expect they will lose a few more for similar reasons. It just depends who they lose. If its Sculthorpe, Morley and Fieldon then they are no hope. Their backs are all much of a muchness, but those 3 forwards mentioned could win them the Ashes.
