Kyrgios takes the first set in a tie-break. Surprising too, because I think Raonic had the upper hand for most of the set.

Comprehensive second set win to Raonic. Kyrgios looks to be struggling mentally. Doesn't have the focus he had against Nadal and is getting frustrated easily.

Oh well, the kid did well to make it this far.

Seems to need some conditioning. Looked like he had cement boots after the first set.

I watched him against Nadal and Raonic. Looks like he has a lot of talent and potential. Can't wait to see him develop a bit more. Gonna be a super player!

Well unfortunately it's not exactly surprising. How often do you see a low ranked guy beat one of the very top players only to lose in the next match or the one after. There just isn't enough left in the tank (mentally and physically) usually.

He did well to get as far as he did though and hopefully he becomes a bit of a mainstay in the 2nd week of the tournaments.

No, his parents were choosing between Canada and Australia when they were immigrating. Canada's paperwork was easier so they chose there

correct- bet your country would love to swap with Canada- Tomic for Raonic. dont hear much about Kokkinakis though - apparently ranked just outside the top 300 meaning he has to play the challenger circuit and or qualifiers unless he obtains a wild card which he always will for the Australian open.

The wildcard at the US Open will probably between Tomic and Kokkinakis now that Kygrios will get directly in. Tomic will drop to about 123 after Wimbledon and will need to move back into the top 105 or he will need to qualify or get a wildcard for the US Open.

Kygrios is due to play in a grass court tournament next week at the tour level in Newport, USA as he got a WC for that tournament prior to Wimbledon. Hopefully he plays because for a tour level event it has a pretty weak field

If he gets a good draw and plays well he could carve through that field

FYI the 4 Grand Slams are the only tournaments that last for 2 weeks, a couple of others last 10 days and the rest of the tournaments only last 1 week.

Well this thread is about a Grand Slam so that's what was I referring to when I said tournaments. Don't really care for the rest tbh.
