Would be massive for Lebanon if they can make it out of the group and into the quarters again. Must be giving the game a real boost over there. As I understand it the 2000 squad plus the achievements at the 2017 cup really kicked things along in Lebanon for RL.

To make a semi final, they'd have to finish first in their pool (ie beat NZ) and then beat (most likely) Fiji in the quarter.
OR finish second in their pool and beat Australia in a quarter. Neither seem even remotely likely. You'd have been better off if your boy had made the Aussie team ahead of DCE. He deserved to on form, but that's NSW-Qld politics for you.
