It's the right play imo.. this could almost be a full-strength forward pack.. I mean I dunno how fit Sele or Su'a are.. but its 4 big inclusions.. lets see what comes off the back of that.

The Bird thing will happen.. but as I said it probably wasnt this week.. but its a bit of an all or nothing play, lets see if we can fix the forwards first, thats the core of our issues.

No players dropped. There are clearly no consequences for not having a go. Flanno must just be hoping that some of these players will turn into high energy players by magic. It doesn't happen that way.

Mmm
BMM dropped after being a late inclusion v the Cows
Muhleisen dropped for a guy having a go in Marschke
M. Molo dropped.
Young Fifita dropped also atm but he needs more game time in ressies

So basically, our entire bench replaced.

Back in are:
Sua after being a late withdrawl v Cows
Sele, for his first game, and a much better prop that Molo
Liddle in as a specialist hooker replacing our debutant who is really a half.

I suppose you're referring to the backline, which has scored all of our tries so far in 3 games played.
4 x Sloan
3 x Lomax
2 X KFlan

My guess is Bird in particular is the target, which I agree defensively he's been targeted and in particular the Cows game where he missed 5. However, in the hiding given to us by the Phins, he missed 1 as was the case v the Titans. Attacking wise he's been ok, averaging 129m /game over the 3 played with 15 runs per game. He seems to compliment Lomax playing wing outside him, imo.

Anyway, let's see if the inclusions for this game help turn the tide, which no doubt they will given who they've replaced.

The team list is just about there, and barring a couple of positional changes is just about near the same 17 as what I named last night.

All players on deck.

Flanno did say that he was going to run with the Lomax/Bird wing/three-quarter experiment for the first four weeks. Basically, Bird needs a big game this weekend for that combination to continue.

It will be a shoot-out in NSW Cup between Tuipulotu, Finau & the Feagai twins for the wing spot that will open up. Rava will also head back to the right wing.

It will then be a battle between Bird & RFM for the final bench spot.

Alternatively, I wouldn't be surprised to see the team changed late in the lead up to kick off.

Good news Kasey Badger is the video. official.👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎.
She was the video ref the last time we played Manly on DCEs 300th game. She had a shocker. Dobbed JDB in for a supposed hip drop on Tuipoloto who took the field injured with enough strapping on his leg to hold a tank together. He got played for the penalty and got the bonus of JDB in the bin for 10min. We were on the comeback and my mates who follow Manly all said that if JDB hadn't gone to the bin, we would have got them. We were on the charge. Badger screwed us.

I remember that! Wasn’t it like 2 sets after it happened? Killed the game

This was also the game where she said “the ball does get to the ground, we’ve just got to see if the ball is over the goal line or not”... “Dan Russell is definitely over the goal line we’re just looking at the screen on the right"... “Based on all of the available camera angles, we will be supporting the decision of held up"

The key to this game is if Lids has a big night out.....after watching some of the games on the weekend the darts from dummy half are critical by the hookers.....you just have to keep turning the opposition forwards around and pinching cheap metres up the middle......also we can't rely on Hunts ineffective 5 tackle bombs....on most occassions he kicks down the fullbacks throats....if that's the case this weekend then Turbo will have a field day just like What happen against Redcliffe

I agree BSE. Hunt's kicking game is too much the same. He should vary it and definitely not kick straight to Turbo. Opposition teams, even after just 3 games, would know that Hunt's high kicks are to the right so that Lomax has time to chase the kick with the hope of catching it on the fly and then running away to score - which he hasn't done so far. Doing this time and again just allows the opposition to be prepared to jump higher than a running Lomax, just like Jack Bostock did in the Dolphin's first try.
