Panthers to take a comfortable early lead.
Panthers drop intensity and concentration.
Tigers score a try
Panthers get serious and win the game easily.

This, I expect Penrith to be in total control but a bit lazy and allow us to always sort of be within touching distance but never a realistic chance of winning. 28-14 scoreline or something like that.

I sadly believe this will be a blow out. Was at the game on Sunday and the effort was there but a lack of class and execution was telling and has been for a long time. Penrith coming off a lost plus a long turnaround for them spells danger for us. Hope I’m wrong but I’m thinking they will put 50 on us😩

It’s become an genuine ordeal supporting this club.

Just like having another problem to deal with on top of the general garbage of life.

Always a good grudge match, Api usually destroys us, plenty of support in Bathurst.

Just want an effort.

0-9 is an extremely poor outcome by any measure.

Happy Anzac Day everyone. Pray for peace.

Brooks V Cleary, we have no chance:(
However,

'We'll rally behind Brooks': Tigers teammates

West Tigers have launched a passionate defence of Luke Brooks as the much-maligned halfback faces fresh criticism over his losing streak at NRL level.

Sunday marked a year since Brooks last won a game with the Tigers and social media commentary drawing attention to the million-dollar half's luckless run sparked backlash from players and fans concerned with player welfare.

Ex-Tiger Keith Galloway and Cronulla winger Ronaldo Mulitalo were among those to defend the No.7 on social media.

On Wednesday, his teammates joined the chorus insisting it was more than just Brooks who needed to step up at Concord.

"He's one player. It's a team sport," prop David Klemmer said.

"Obviously he's not making every single run, every single tackle, every single error. He's doing his best. He's trying but it's not going so well.

"Obviously, he's the highest paid so they come after him.

"We support Brooksy around here, and the boys are trying our hardest to get a win. Obviously Brooksy cops the brunt of it but we try to protect him."

Centre Starford To'a suggested critics of Brooks lacked context in their derisions.

"People outside don't know what's happening in between our four walls. We'll rally behind him. We look after each other here," he said.

"It's not just an individual, it's everyone, we all play a part. Now we all need to look at our game individually. We can all help each other out, help Brooks out."

Klemmer hasn't noticed any changes to Brooks with the external pressure on the halfback.

"He must be good at hiding it. He's human at the end of the day," he said.

The last-placed Tigers head into Saturday's round nine match against reigning premiers Penrith on a seven-game losing streak - the worst start in the team's 24-year history as a joint venture.

"It's hard to find the answers when we're putting in a lot of work in games and we're fighting to the end and we're not getting a result. It's hard to ask yourself what's going wrong," To'a said.

Despite their string of losses, the Tigers challenged last year's runners-up Parramatta and in-form Manly in the previous two matches.

"There are a lot of patches in games where we're competing with these good teams," Klemmer said.

"There's just little lapses that are costing us and that those lapses become big things."
