You've left out Royce.
He needs a big offseason to get his minutes up but I would have him in the team over BHU any day of the week.

I quick look at the numbers for both of them from this season shows this:

StatBHUAverage Per GameRoyceAverage Per Game
Tackle Breaks452.36341.7
PCM718.637.8269434.7
Avg Hit Ups7.37.2
Offloads60.32120.6
Tackles35818.8428514.25
Tackle Efficiency90.294
Total Running Metres180094.73159279.6
Average Running Metres9479

At face value you'd say BHU has the better numbers, right?
Well BHU averaged 38.15 minutes per game, where Royce averaged 25.3.

So let's look at output per minute played.

StatBHURoyce
Tackle Breaks0.0620.067
PCM0.991.37
Offloads0.0080.023
Tackles0.490.56
Running Metres2.483.15

IMHO Royce wipes the floor with him.
We just need that output over more minutes.

I wonder if Big Royce has the capacity for another 15 minutes per game and if so whether he would be able to maintain that output.

That's the question.
I'd be flogging him in the offseason to see if he can.

For me we only need two of Royce, BHU and Tommy.
And with Tommy on an upward trajectory he's not the one missing out.
So Royce and BHU to duke it out for the other spot.
With BHU off contract I know where I'd be putting my efforts.

You should add in PTB speed. :)

BHU + Royce - I like them both. But more negatory than the other.
Royce is a beast, but man he needs a rocket. His early stint at the club was nuts good, get him back there and I’d be happy.
BHU - if someone said we were bailing on him early this year I’d be pissed, now… couldn’t care less. Season fatigue Id say but still is so stop start it’s boring

I would be tempted to let Uele go, he has had long enough to establish himself as a leading prop and hasn't, it last year of his contract, so I would expect him to put an effort in, the club cant fall into he is playing well lets sign him multiple year, we just got caught with Moylan.

Uele would not be on small coin either.
Hunt is here to 2025, he is probably not on huge dollars - he is a bench player at best and no more then 20 minutes per game, Fitz needs to sit him down show him how Sam Tagatese played when with us, limited minitues impactful.

Hazelton has more upside then Uele, he got a lot of experience in 2023 should be ready to take next step in 2024.

I am not into getting AFB, to much baggage he carries.

Terrell May would be the one I would be looking at for 2025.
A cheapie would be Ofahiki Ogden from eels, he played 9 games 6 of them he ran over 100 meters per game, an area we have been let down in

AFB is a beast capable of changing a game and he seems to have matured this last few years. Unfortunately the coin he could command makes it a pipe dream imo.

BHU 3.29s
Royce 3.54s

Easier to have quicker PTBs when your a pharquing pillow and aren't constantly climbing out from under four defenders haha.
Yeah, that's actually a surprise to me.

Now put all the much maligned Herb's stats in. NOW!! :)

Would more like. He's on a mill a year at the Worriers.

TPP hasn't lost me yet. I don't think he's had an injury free season in years. Hunt in the same boat. If the glue sticks on their most recent bangups I can see a lot of improvement in both of them

Surely Moylan to Leigh and BHU to Warriors clears enough cap space for AFB. And if not, let Tracey go to the Dragons as a last resort.

Warriors will only release to a Sydney club, Dragons and Dogs the ones being talked about as having a shot at him (Roosters pulled out, Penrith and Eels don’t need him, Manly can’t afford him with DCE, Turbo, Jurbo and 2 shit 2nd rowers on nearly a mil each), surely if we can make cap space, we’d be the preferred option of the other Sydney clubs, and we can give the Warriors something in return in BHU.

I like BHU, and wouldn’t usually want to see him leave, but I’d swap any of our middles for AFB. We should be in his managers ear constantly - get him agitating!

Based on that, the two biggest bums in our middle rotation are BHU and Herb.
But I don't need stats to tell me that.

I though Herb was a plodder when we signed him, and nothing I saw this year changed that.
This just confirms it for me.

I would not be in a hurry to re-sign either one of them.

Surprises me that! Always been BHU fan. Cant disagree with your conclusion

I'd love to see a season where both BHU and Royce play through without injuries. They both seem to be momentum players, the more they play the better they get.
Absolutely this.

Just had a look at Roy Sunt's minutes since he came to Sharkville.

2020 - 26.78 minutes
2021 - ignored (only played 2 games)
2022 - 29.63 minutes
2023 - 25.3 minutes

30 minutes might be his ceiling.

@Frenzy. Happy now, ingrate? haha
I wanted to add Jack as well but they have him a 2nd row and his stats are different - no PCM, no tackle breaks etc.
