Most underrated players in the NRL

All these guys played State of Origin, some even for Australia. But rarely (if at all) come up in conversation about great NRL (ARL etc) players. Which I think they are. Not suggesting they are “greats” of the game.. but great players as such..

Robbie Ross
Graham Mackay
Michael De Vere
Peter Ryan
Nik Kosef
Robbie Kearns
Robbie McCormack
Craig Salvatori
Rodney Howe
Ken McGuiness
PJ Marsh
Chris Flannery
Phil Bailey
Barry Berrigan
Gavin Allen

But the guy who I think is the most under-rated, and never played origin or test football.

Daniel Gartner.

Just how brilliant were the Manly forwards in the mid 90’s. They were just loaded with awesome players

Nik Kosef
David Gillespie
Ian Roberts
Mark Carroll
Jim Sedaris
Steve Menzies
Daniel Gartner

no wonder they were so dominant

Looks a bit like the side who won their first 15 straight in '95.....and were flogged in the GF.
