I though there was a more deserving contenter in Tim Mander.

Ask any Melbourne fan what they think of Sean Hampstead, I don't think he is the right man for the job.

Its a bloody joke that the NZRL have caved in to Australia over this issue in the last few years ever since the Australians started bleeting about how they didn't like the Englishman Russell Smith.

apparentley the arl incisted that the ref had to be from the nrl, so they let the nzrl choose the ref.
