Bulldog Ritchie is a Fitzy/Hadley man.

Any chance to lay the boot into the club he would do it.

I think overall the club has done this the right way no one knew until they told BA yesterday it was time even though the decision was made 3 weeks ago.

We come out of this looking a better club then what we did back in 2010s & 2012s when we sacking coaches for fun and it basically being drip fed in the media for weeks on end.

Even Ricky's departure was a PR driven for a month to soften the blow by camp Ricky.
BA has handled this better than any past sacked coach. Spoke brilliantly. Looks relaxed now. Whats Jaxs at Bella Vista like KG? Should we crash BAs party?

I have been there before probs 12 months ago for my Mum's birthday from memory - Food was pretty good.

Swing City is across the road maybe we ask BA to come across have a swing on the driving range there and see how BA's golf game is.

There will always be some type of perceived deceit when you sack an incumbent coach. It is unavoidable. Bulldog Ritchie and his comments are as relevant as a VHS copy of Controversy Corner.

Not just a coach, but when anyone gets sacked from any role.

It is rarely, if ever a decision made at the time and the person getting sacked of course gets no notice.

Media has their noses out of joint because it wasn't leaked to them and they weren't told it was happening by the club.

Waaa waaa.

Very interesting to hear Brad Arthur say the team enjoyed the lead up to the grand final a bit too much and consequently didn’t have the intensity required on the day (which got them there in the first place). He conceded the team was happy to just be there.

Reminded me of the Brian Smith comments regarding how he never quite got how to position his respective teams in GF week (took the ultra serious stance in 2001, while taking the ‘enjoy the week’ position in 2010).

Merkins look back and wonder what they could’ve done differently. Most likely nothing you do the week before a game is going to impact the result. There are so many influences on game day that coaching will be negligible. Where coaching matters is across the 11 months between the start and end of the season. Individual games within that span are a (weighted) lottery, including each game of the finals.

Is this coming from your "head coaches aren't responsible for anything" perspective? Forgetting the impact of tactics and preparation for specific opponents and their capabilities and styles of play....

Ah yes, it is - you're doubling down on the dumb!

If you had one shot to seize everything you ever wanted in one moment would you capture it - or just let it slip?

Most of the Assistants have get out clauses in thier contracts to say that if they get an offer to be an NRL coach then they are off.
