A few highlights:

  • More than 1.3 million people have attended NRL games this season – a 4.2% increase compared to the same period in 2009.
  • Melbourne Storm average home crowds have increased by more than 60%.
  • Parramatta Eels average home crowds have increased by 50%.
  • Raiders average home crowds have increased by 34%.
  • Average home crowds for the Rabbitohs, Dragons and Wests Tigers have all increased by more than 25%.
  • Average crowds for Sydney have increased by 12% and regional areas by 13% when compared to 2009.
  • Average crowds across ANZ Stadium, Parramatta Stadium, CUA Stadium and Campbelltown are up 21% from 16,136 in 2009 to 19,519 in 2010.
  • In 2010, Total Memberships across the NRL Clubs have increased 21%, with Ticketed Memberships up 18% and Non-Ticketed Memberships up 32%.
  • Blatchy‟s Blues and Maroon Crusade supporter numbers have more than doubled this year, with the groups on track to reach 7,000 and 2,000 supporters respectively for the Harvey Norman Game One of the State of Origin Series.more than 67,000 tickets have been sold for Game One of the 2010 Harvey Norman State of Origin Series.
  • Average ratings for Sky Sports have increased by 29% when compared to 2009. (NZ I assume?)

Was an excellent read. I recommend it to others. Good to see the All Stars Event do so well. It ac tually ushers in the new season really well, not just that but adding significant money to the 16 teams pools for Community Programs. Should become bigger with each year. They should sell it like a State of Origin for auction to the highest bidder (NSW, QLD, VIC, NZ).
