According to the RL press over here he has agreed to honour the contract he signed with Widnes and will play as their overseas quota player in NL 1 next season.
Nothing wrong with playing NL1 anyway, it's a decent standard and famous clubs like Hull KR, Halifax, Leigh, Oldham and either Haven or Cas will be playing Widnes.
Widnes will be trying their darnedest to bounce straight back up to Superleague. Peachey with all of his experience could be a big help if he brings over a good attitude.
Of course he's honouring his contract. who else is going to pay him that sort of money?
The standard of second division rugby (whatever the label, that is what NL1 is ) is nowhere near that of SL. It's a massive step down in class so Peachy should be outstanding.
Thanks for that, guys. I do agree with the weasel though, he should score at least four tries a game and save a couple (of course I said the same thing about Johns). Is there bets on something like "man of the season" over there for NL1?
They do have player awards for NL1 - player of the month, and stats breakdowns for best in each position. Don't know where you can get a bet on any of it though....
