Fulltime Penrith win 54-18. Standouts were Craig Trindall and Junior Moors.

With that win the Penrith Panthers seal the Club Championship!

Something the club has never won!

To all players who have played either Harold Matthews,SG Ball,Jersey Flegg and Premier League this year for Penrith. WELL DONE :D

Canberra 40 odd to Wests 20 odd. Another tough game for the Maggies. Bit of spite in this one too.

North Sydney 40 (Eddie Paea 2, Germaine Paulson, Daniel Irvine, Reece Simmonds, Troy Boston, Eddie Pettybourne tries; Eddie Paea 6 goals) defeated Balmain Ryde Eastwood 22 (Samu Wara, Stuart Flanagan, Rhys Hanbury, Lee Bennett tries; Ben Jeffery 3 goals).

The Norths forwards layed a good platform and Eddie Paea was carving up in the heat.

If Norths win next week over Canterbury (who are minor premiers) and either Newcastle lose to Wests (unlikely) or Balmain lose to Parramatta (possible) then Norths will have a home semi final.

The Jet Army will be at NSO next Friday to cheer the Bears on... Hopefully the Bears can get the home semi, that'll be huge!

Just glad that the Jets season is over....

So if Penrith have a home final in PL and Flegg, is Penrith able to play this in the Penrith district? For example at CUA Stadium or Western Weekender Stadium(St Marys)

Or do we have to play it at a neutral venue or at a ground where there is a NRL final taking placE?

Both Penrith home finals should be at Western Weekender. It would be a better atmosphere, and dare I say, would probably attract a larger crowd. It's just the right type of stadium to host these types of matches. It's probably the only thing I miss about the Cougars, with the regular matches we played there.

Penrith defeated AUckland 38-16 to seal 2nd spot. Matt Forwood crossed for a hattrick of tries.

Raiders won 48 - 6 over Cronulla.

Looking at the other posts, that would mean we go above Parramatta and finish 6th and will play Balmain next weekend??? Anyone confirm that is the case??

and presumably that match will be at Leichardt???

I am sure someone will get a draw and post it later this afternoon.

Dragons are still to play

It looks like

Canterbury vs. Dragons or Parramatta
Penrith vs. Parramatta or Dragons
Balmain RE vs. Canberra
Newcastle vs. North Sydney

Knights won to finish 3rd or 4th.
An outstanding result considering 37 players played firstgrade and the club had 8 season ending injuries etc.
The PL side basically went well with a core of 7 or 8 kids up from last years outstanding Flegg side and some old pros like Franze, Thurston, Hession, Hunt and Steel.
With no firstgraders coming back they probably won't do much good in the finals - but i reckon Scotty Dureau would have to be the PL player of the season with three or four games where he basically won single handed. The win over Newtown where Scotty pulled back an 18 point deficit in the second half and kicked a 45 metre field goal in the final minute to win was the PL performance of the year i'd say.
