Surprise that Hunt is not there as backup but it is the right call in my view anyway. Could easily play Matt Gillett at 5/8th if need be, as he has done for Brisbane some times. Thurston will run the show anyway.

Taylor better not drop the damn ball 5 times!

Gillett played 5/8 once for Brisbane in the 2011 prelim against Manly. He was found out horribly and is not a 5/8.

He won the Clive Churchill medal in 2007 as a five-eighth in Melbourne's grand final win against Manly.

Now who's Laughing Out Loud

Me still. He's not a 5/8. He's a Fullback. How much training do you think he's done at 5/8??

Offcourse he's best position is fullback and his second best position is centre. What I'm saying to you is that while Inglis playing five-eigth not completely the ideal situation- it's not completely laughable either. Remember he did reasonable long stints at Melbourne at five-eigth when they were trying to figure out where to put Inglis as Slater had the full-back position locked up.

I would probably guess though that if Inglis was to move to five-eigth. Thurston would be forced to take more of the workload in terms of the kicking game and play making.

It's a terrible situation for the team. Meninga has truly lost the plot if he thinks this is the solution and it will lose us the game. Quote me on that.

I take it you wanted Hunt on the bench. It's a risk- but Mal must have thought after game 1 that four forwards on the bench (particularly a specialist prop) was necessary. As I said in my earlier comments- Hunt's got nothing to do if Cameron Smith or Daly Cherry-Evans don't get injured.

Hunt can still play through the middle if needed. He's got Hooker experience, he's defended in the middle for 90% of his career. He could also play a third play maker role and provide some real X-Factor.

But, I'm sure Mal knows what he's doing. Right?

Well, I pretty much called it. DCE was a passenger and it cost us dearly. So did Gillett, Taylor and McQueen really.
