IMO it should be:
1. Slater
2. Boyd
3. Inglis
4. Hodges
5. Tate
6. Thurston
7. Cronk
8. Scott
9. Smith
10. Hannant
11. Myles
12. Thaiday
13. Parker
14. Lillyman
15. Gillett
16. Te'o
17. Papalii
I think Mal's gamble with a lighter pack in Brisbane paid off, but only because they caught NSW off guard early and Myles and Thaiday had superb games. I get the feeling we'll need two specialist front rowers in Sydney and a full set of forwards on the bench. DCE did well in enough in Brisbane, but his time will come. Cronk and Thurston work well when they don't have to do a mountain of tackling, and having the right forward pack in front of them will go a long way to making sure they don't. Papalii can be used for more impact off the bench, while Lillyman can slot into the front row to make more straight runs and give the playmakers the room to play deep like they did in Brisbane.
That said, I don't think Mal will make this many changes for Sydney, and we'll probably see the same lineup.
