And that 50% should be cap concession.

The NRL should just make any player who's played international yawnion exempt from the cap for the first 3 years of being signed. Include Folau & Hunt in that too. If they fail in those 3 years, we get rid of em. We should just sign all their good athletes, and smash yawnion completely...then we can turn our attention to beating AFL (in Australia).

Seriously you think it is fair to give the roosters a salary cap consession to get someone who already shat on league? You sound liek an afl supporter, they have salary cap differences.

The AFL have that rule.

AFL list-building rule 21.4.3 allows a club to put a player who has not played Australian football at any level for three years straight on to their list. The player must start on the rookie list but if the player is placed on the senior list as an injury replacement, 100 per cent of his salary will remain outside the cap.

Please , why should the NRL do that ? why should other clubs think this fair ?
I can only understand NRL doing this IF and when we have NEW clubs who need help in their first couple of years. Then the money should be used not to lure players from other NRL clubs but like this to lure talent from Union , Superleague and perhaps AFL and even American football>

however for Roosters , forget it , let them work to their salary cap like all other clubs.
