No doubt! Then who negotiated the length of contract, options, salary and any contract conditions.
The same merkins who gave us the 2020-22 premiership window?
Then a decision making committee of 3 has to sign off and agree on them. The whole thing needs to be blown up and reconfigured. It seems cumbersome and messy.
I’m sure it works the same way at all the top clubs. They just have more options during recruitment/retention because they spend so much on pathways.

All our problems stem from the ruck which is a result of poor D technique. TCT got hammered by followers in response to their Training reports. Most were asking "what are they doing to improve D"? Its painfully obvious to anybody even slightly interested in Rugby League and its remained uncorrected for years.
It’s not technique, it is mobility. The best defensive teams are full of toilers. We have a bunch of thicc bois. Good in attack, not in defence.

No the new coach will start to bring in their changes a year early
It’s a fair point. We start recruitment for 2026 in just over six months. But the 2025 squad is pretty much this plus Lomax. Nobody is taking the 30 year olds without us subsidising them. They aren’t youngsters like Lomax or 2017 Mitch Moses.

Yep

So if he is going to go do it sooner

Why would that be? A year with a new coach will hopefully be a year where they’re recalibrating the squad and starting to get their own style in place. That’s not a waste. Another year delaying that by sticking with Arthur would be a waste.
If Arthur is in his last year he won’t be having any say in recruitment or retention.

And has won more games than all the coaches in the previous 11 years combined.
Well considering he was taking over from an era where we received two wooden spoons and missed the finals more often than not you would certainly hope he did with the superior squads he had at his disposal. The bar wasn’t exactly set all that high was it?

Agreed, he built a good squad. And then it wasn't. Or he had nothing to do with it.

Anyway that 11 years includes the final three years of Smith's reign.

Because we want to still win games while we're cleaning the merkins out.
I don’t understand this. You think they’re going to either fall on their swords and leave the club of their own volition to do a favour for Arthur, who already would have no future for the club; or otherwise keep putting in for Arthur’s sake when he already has no future at the club, but wouldn’t do the same for a new coach who might actually have a real role to play in their future employment prospects?
