How long before we see another Dragons backline like this - 10 years?
FMD I'm depressed w our current backline !
As one of our fellow posters stated Mr Dino we need speed and more speed ... Has been lacking for a long time . Or we need
to give our coach some to make him think straight ...

Forever is probably the correct answer especially if we buy half of the shit you and others propose let alone the bog ordinary journeymen the board usually gets
The only way to achieve a great backline is with the majority coming from within our own systems and a couple of astute purchases to round it out.

As a club who has had the luxury of having the 'cream of the crop' backline over the years, we've reverted to opposite end of the scales with our current mob.

One dimensional, can't tackle to save themselves and struggle to put two good games together.

Todays lot see an opposition player running towards them and just role over!
What ever happen to the old, chip and chase, or the sidestep with a good old fashion fend?

Are all their skills coached out of them?
It's not rocket science, yet we are so predictable.

That backline, whist sublime was under Bennett. Boyd played out of his skin.

Yes we had Moz / Coops / Gz ( coming back ), and Flo, but arguably our most potent / influencial back was Darius.

Yes, Boyd was definitely "influential" up until the time Bennett announced his departure; from there he simply "closed up shop", and his form deprecated noticeably.

People tend to forget Boyd actually re-signed with Dragons before reneging following Bennett's announcement....damn those 'exit clauses' in contracts.
