Great win against the Bunnies. We're turning things around slowly with improvements in defence, ball control and completions. Special mention to our starting big boys, Sele, Frank the smiling assasin and JDB, good metres and no missed tackles - JDB 200 metres, excellent. Great to see Kyle getting more involved, more passing, more kicking and 34 tackles, great workrate and Benny Hunt running more. Suli, Rav, RFM and Su'a making plenty of incisive runs.

There's a couple of areas we need to improve to start winning against the better teams though.
Our support play was poor on Sat, with players making half breaks or skipping out of tackles with the ball ready to off-load but no-one to pass to, maybe 6 or 7 times.... not ideal when we had the Bunnies back peddling - lots of extra metres and potential tries gone begging. Where were Sloan and Lomax or anybody. Zac likes to come infield at every opportunity to take hit ups that others could take but maybe he should pick his moments more carefully. Also on Zac, adding to his metres tally might look good on the stats sheet but that energy might have been better used stopping those 3 tries down his wing or chasing some bombs a little harder and maybe not making his usual 2 - 3 errors per game.

The other thing is our lack of set plays, especially those with some depth and shape out wide. Maybe Flanno is fixing the big issues like defence and completions first and hoping points will come off the back of Hunt's 500 bombs per game but I hope we start working on our attack a little more clinically and with a bit more variety asap.

What was it saint Benny used to say
‘ Toughen up the soft underbelly and man up in defence, the attack will come off that’

So was it made by our players or a member of the public, couldnt have picked a worse time not that anytime is a good time, lets hope its not one of our players, it will be weeks on the sideline for sure.
Whoever has made any sort of racial slur, be it player or fan, will be facing a very long ban.
When will they ever learn??
You would think the Spencer/Ezra incident and subsequent suspension at the start of the season would send a clear message that this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated either on or off the field.

You saying these two will or wont make top grade? Both are in the top 30 so have to get some game time soon. Finau has played one game since he joined us, Tamale yet to debut. They are going ok in Ressies but is not easy to impress selectors when you have halves the calibre of Marshcke and Ralph, after the best of the trio, Glover was surprisingly dropped weeks ago.
I am saying we should give them a go in FG

It was a solid win by the Saints. They did not play at their best and still jagged a win which is pleasing. At the start of the year Saints would have had the Warriors and Souths games as losses so good to jag those to wins to make up for the losses against the Dolphins and Knights. Losing to the Chooks, Sharks and Cows was no suprise on paper as they have much better rosters than Saints.

Sloan getting better except for that last try to Latrell which he should have dealt. JDB was my standout same with Su'a and Molo. I liked K FLanno's game as well he did well as is always around to stop a try. Hunbt starting to trust K Flanno more I see which is only going to get better as K Flanno did some kicking. Even Su'a was able to get a repeat set off a kick. Hunt should take notes of Su'a.

Sad to hear about the racial abuse to Lattrell and Cody. Puts a damper to a great night for the Dragons or should I say Dargons.
