When was the last time Roy wrote an article without mentioning AFL? His material is fine but his constant references to AFL comes across as really insecure.

Well a quick look at Andrew Barr's twitter account reveals that he was at the netball today. Maybe he was too scared to show up.

He seems to be an AFL fan as there's a whole heap of posts on there about those stupid fumbleball teams. There only a couple of re-tweeted posts about the Raiders.

I think you can now ascertain why he pissed all that money away to GWS.

Doesn't he live in Melbourne now? I think its getting to him.

I still cannot believe the ACT Government would give that much cash to a Western Sydney team.

They piss away money to the Raiders and Brumbies too, it's just what governments do. Presumably there's some rhetoric that goes with it.

Masters: "Politicians shouldn't forget the people of the ACT didn't call themselves Canberrans until the Raiders won the 1989 premiership with a team based in Queanbeyan."

Ya what?

Yeah. Canberra teams.

GWS gets more than actual ACT teams.

:?
The Raiders provide a pathway into one of the elite sporting competitions in Australia for kids in the region. How the f**k is the local government "pissing away" money supporting that?

They can do that without Government money, the NRL, AFL and Super Rugby are large scale commercial operations. It would be better spent lower down the sporting hierarchy, or even on other social programs.

They're supporting a local business that creates jobs and brings in money to the local community. It's exactly what a local government should do.
To compare the Raiders and Brumbies funding to the GWS rort is ridiculous.

In all the articles where he kisses the arse of his mates from the Storm.

Seriously, these are Roy's topics:

1. Mebourne Storm are the greatest
2. AFL is impinging on our game
4. Some opposition team that is about to play Melbourne has been guilty of some dodgy on-field behaviour but they have not been penalised much for it of late, and therefore poor Melbourne are about to be treated unfairly in the upcoming finals game UNLESS of course the refs start to penalise said opposition.

Roy is a f**king old dinasour who had his time back in the face-slapping days and should piss off. Normally journos are sent to backwaters when they are young and up-and-coming, and in those backwaters they can't say anything negative about the local team if they want to get good interviews and therefore progress in their career (ie be sent back to the big smoke). It's amazing to see this happen in reverse, where a once respected man has become a pawn for the local team.
