Chief thinks the Dragons are a successful club because they're having a winning season. They obviously have f**k all TPAs - they haven't won a finals match since they beat Brian Smith in the 2010 grand final. In fact, since 2011 they have played one finals game. We've played in more finals than that!

They're a great example of how no TPAs means no sustained success. If chiefy1 is trying to make a point he's failed. Just like the Dragons and the Eels.

But it proves a team can be built with limited tpa's which was the initial argument.

The Dragons built one of the best packs in the NRL with excellent recruitment and development. Vaugn, Mcinnes, Sims Frizzell all gun signings with their best years ahead of them, and a couple of quality back recruits.

Debelin Aitkin and Dufty all developed into very good players.

That's how build a quality substainable roster that will no doubt provide the club with the foundation to make the finals for the next 5 years at least. It takes time...

In the same time Parramatta have recruited one decent forward in Nathan Brown. We have an aging roster with many coming off contract, and will rely on more panic buying.

Wait and see how good they are in the finals. Actually, see how they go when they get a few injuries. This is a flash in the pan. Graham and De Belin are no better than Alvaro. Tariq Sims is no better than Moeroa. McInnes is just Cameron King with a better work rate. Vaughan and Frizell are both quality. So are Hunt and Widdop, but no better than Norman/Moses. The rest of the team are plodders looking good off the back of form and momentum. Just like us last year.
