I predict Blaize Talagi will regret this decision for some time.

His value after Friday night will be considerably less than what it is today.
His value may go up in smoke after Fri night...not sure who's running the show here but seems like an epic cluster.
We are constantly held to ransom by these so called loyal players...what happened to playing it out behind closed doors.
Anyways if Blaize wants to leave yea drop him to RMC and go hard at the McLean bros who are better anyway

I think they are both contracted until end of 26.

In fairness to blaize the PO might be a development contract or something he is past at the point. If the club had this much faith in the kid they should have given him a top 30 multi year deal in the off-season.

Great example being our ‘“Leadership” group, RCG was a bees dick away from joining Dolphins, falling in love with Queensland during, he only stayed because we upped his offer, that’s not exactly what u would call loyalty, lots of players have an affinity for their club, can someone name one that’s not squeezing lemon dry?
Depends if you think we have a good or bad squad. If it’s good it means we aren’t paying overs, on average. If it’s bad it means we’re (generally) overpaying merkins.

It means the PO ended up worthless to the player, which benefits us. He should only have taken up the option if it was overs. If he has rival offers on big money we would do well not to match them.
Any post you make should be viewed through the prism of your self interest - in that the failure of this club fuels your mental illness for months on end

You would think the club would have signed him up long term instead of it going out in the media that he declined the PO

You'd think but they have let every talented player we have go to market at this point.

There is something systematically wrong with how we do things. Maybe it's our lack of ability to provide a TPA?? Who knows
Maybe look at who puts the options in the contracts and then is unable to extend the player. If you don’t have the right people in R&R then it’s difficult to get the results needed, it does stand for recruitment and retention and not sure we see it .
