Its a very one sided thing, that article.
Keogh swept in after Irvine and Douglas did all the leg work with the development. got the 10 million up front (Keogh says it should have been more but not like we were in a position of power)
without guys like him, there is no team. without he and other fans like him doing f**king hard work...
the wolf wasn't at the door. it was in the house. but somehow we shooed it out and hit it with a rock and it ran away.
But because all of the focus was on "don't go bankrupt today" etc
some things...like Steven Dank....and Trent Elkin....Shane Flanagans negligence......were over looked.
and so Irvine had to go, because he got cut to bits in the media by Buzz Rothfield.
And Irvine did, but he has never been properly acknowledged.
The club is in a position now where we aren't going to be out of the league.
and everyone is having a great time. like Scott Morrison (who was anti the development, but now is the #1 ticket holder. yeah. great)
we survived by the skin of our teeth.
because of a few people.
One thing Keogh has doen great was signing up Lyall Gorman.
who is the consummate professional I always wanted at the sharks.
Keogh brings good stuff.
but a lot of the real hard work was done by other people.
