Going into this round he was first in line break assists, first in dropouts forced, 4th in try assists, had put in the most kicks in the NRL was second in tries by a half and near the top in line breaks for a half too.
People seem to think that because SJ can do freakish things he should be able to pull a try out his arse whenever he feels like it and when he doesn't he's no good.
There are a lot of issues with the Warriors at the moment, but on the back of an average pack, a poorly structured team and playing injured, he's not doing too bad at all. I could name at least half a dozen pressing issues that need to be addressed well ahead of SJ.
Those are Dally M stats, when you're the only go-to man in a team you'll always win the Brownie points. Shaun stands out when things go his way because he's probably the best player in the comp when things go his way. Problem is he's elected to play in the one position in the team that necessitates creating opportunities for every player to have things go their way
He was carrying a groin injury in the latter stages of the 2014 season. His injury coincided with the Warriors losing their way. Looking at him last night I wouldn't be surprised if he's a tad lame now as well.Every year he goes missing when it matters. In 2014 they had to beat Penrith in the last round to make the 8 and he was awful
