The Fairfax Eagles are proud to announce that our 2007 season fixtures will be played at Eagles Field at JEB Stuart High School, 3301 Peace Valley Lane, in Falls Church, Virginia.

The Board of Directors have been working closely with administrators of the facility over the last few months to come to a mutually beneficial arrangement for both parties. The Eagles are delighted that an agreement could be reached and we now have a first class facility to call home.

The stadium has a capacity of 5,000, and comes complete with changing rooms, running track, PA system, and field lighting. We have worked hard to secure this facility, and believe that our hard work will pay off now that we can offer our sponsors a genuine outlet for advertising. We will also be able to offer a comfortable and professional venue for spectators to come cheer the Eagles on in 2007. This should certainly open a few more doors for us, and give us the opportunity to work with the school to recruit future players.

Regards,

Steven Grant
Vice President

Only time will tell. If we get a few bodies to turn-up and watch us, then the price was right. We have an opportunity here to really build our club and get some great exposure for the game of rugby league in this area. Hopefully we won't screw it up! :sarcasm:

it seems the eagles are following the lead of the axemen and starting with a really professional setup - the difference being the axemen went all american and the eagles will probably be more ex-pats.

This is why i have always thought america will move ahead quickly. The guys in Jamacia are battling to get boots so they can play, and a club in america can start up with a fantastic stadium and sponsership to make them almost semi pro from day one (i know no one gets paid)
