It's like the people who live on the edge of a national park that then get all uppity when a bush fire comes through and burns their house down...

Or the people that own a big dog, treat it like shit and then get upset when the dog goes rogue and bites one of their kids...

People in general are pretty stupid. The worst ones are the people who put other peoples lives at risk through their stupidity. Driving through floodwater when told not to and then getting trapped, swimming at the beach on days like Saturday and Sunday when the surf is ridiculous and having to be rescued.

In situations like that, I think rescue services should just ignore them. It's not fair that some poor bastard has to wade out into monstrous surf and risk his life because some idiot has ignored every warning and gone swimming at a closed beach.

Maybe if the safety net wasn't there in these situations then people might actually think twice about ignoring the safety warnings?

The woman crying about never having a pool again was the best. You may have seen it on the news, beach front home with the pool in the ocean. Meanwhile, the entire shopping precinct of Picton is underwater and gets no coverage...

In fairness, there's not really anything worth covering in Picton. Its sole redeeming feature is being the place my granddad was born.
