Team Vs. Storm

For f**k's sake. I took solace in last week's lost because I thought it would spell the end for Neilson. When will this shit end?

And when is Locke back?

I am still totally unclear and curious about what the future holds for Locke

Sione Lousi
I know you have much man-love for Lousi, but i'm not sure he adds anything to the team aside from lumbering runs and terrifically slow play-the-balls. His lateral movement has improved, though, marginally.

That being said, at least he'd add a point of difference to the backrow. I also wouldn't mind seeing him at prop.

Meth, i figure Gubb's been dropped because of his moment of madness that led to a Dragon's try.

Ok, we get it McFadden. You don't mind dropping players for momentary lapses of professionalism.

Not we can have 4 man propping rotation and an attacking asset out wide please?

Henry brings NOTHING to our already tiny backrow. We need bigger forwards... and we have them! But McFadden is clearly off his head.

I don't get the Henry love either, he's an average utility at best who hasn't really done anything to become an automatic selection all the time.

If Locke is having to return from injury through the NSWarriors, which I agree with, why does Henry just go straight into the top team?

I was looking forward to this team naming as I thought Neilsen would be gone finally, but for f**ks sake he's still there, 1 week down for Hurrell I understand, but now he should be back in the team. Gubb out I understand, would like to of seen Lousi back, not Mateo hope he has learned his lesson. Unfortunate about Leuluai, good for Townsend. Would of also liked to Locke in there.

Regardless of our side, things - significant things - tend to happen when we play the Storm in Melbourne.

Anyone blasé about Friday's game (and whether or not they even plan to watch it) shouldn't be.

Watch us fire up for this game and come out and run through and around the cap cheats. I can only think that if we were playing any other team Neilson would get the chop but its all his mates hes playing so heres his chance to impress.

Feleti will have a ticket to offload at will and will produce a couple of try assists from it and SJ will relish having him back in the team

Don't be surprised with a late inclusion in the team with possibly Hurrell/Lousi on the bench for Havilli

As I said us by 12

Lousi in for ika
Gubb in for Mateo ( willing to give him another chance)
Hurrell in for Nielsen.

That's what should have happened.

I don't get the Henry love either but at least he is solid and he is only one week back from an injury.

Ivan Cleary had a lot of faith in Luck and Taylor because he knew they would do the 1%ers and play out the game plan. I hear Henry is much the same ilk.

We will win by 10. Hurrell will be back when his attitude is right and to then finally see him deliver on his potential will end up with Cappy being hero worshipped. Cappys job is on the line. The word is he had to get into the 8. He clearly believes culture and discipline are important and must think he can deliver both. The right culture and wins. I will back him because he's the first coach in years to put his nuts in the vice and drop big name players and he's under more pressure than any of them.

Yeah. Sure. That was going to happen. Sebastine was players player v Dragons. He's been excellent since he's been back.

As fans we must all be missing something re Nelisen. Coaching staff sees something in him obviously. f**ked if I know what it is though.

Either that or Bluey signed him on MEGA $$$$ and they don't want that much money in NSW cup. BUT if reserve grade is good enough for Mateo who is on more coin than Neilsen then this must not be it either.

Very disillusioning seeing some players being held accountable for their performances and some not.

What other specialist centres were available? Peyroux seems to be specialising as a back rower. Carlos has as much work to do on his defence as Neilsen needs on his offence. That leaves Hurrell who has clearly not yet proven he has overcome the effort issues. In 3 weeks Cappy has already pulled more strings in masking uncompromising calls than both Elliott and McClennan combined so I will back his judgement.

If you're going to take the approach with Hurrell that they did, then you can't just divert from that because you lost a game. It's a decision for long term success,

The onus isn't on the coach to pick him, the onus is on Hurrell to do what is being asked of him. I'm sure McFadden wants him in the team.

I think that reflects well on McFadden because he's apparently under big pressure if he wants to keep the job, and many people in his position would be flinging everything at the wall, but he's not he's trying to actually right what is wrong with the club and develop the culture they're lacking.

That's right. There would be a lot of players historically that would call the Coach's bluff, that if the team loses, they think they have a very good chance of being brought back into the team having "learned their lesson" in reserve grade, but having not really changing their attitude.
It's easy to shine in a lower tier competition and look good. Its the long term attitudinal change that is harder to do. I hope McFadden brings Hurrell back when he actually sees an attitude change, and not because of pressure from outside sources like fans and media.

Part of it could be how they respond to the tough questions from McFadden.

Neilson: "Pretty atrocious mate, lots to work on. will train harder and will bounce back"
Hurrell: "Aw shucks pretty lolz eh. PIES! brb..."

I think Hurrell will be a late inclusion this week. Possibly for Fusitua, pushing Laumape to the wing.

Surely....
