The South Park thread...

I've noticed the amount of South Park references that go on throughout this thread, so it's time we had a thread where we can talk solely about the show without people complaining about a topic getting hi-jacked. Your favorite characters, episodes, scenes- this is the place for it!

When the show first came out I wasn't really fussed by it- in my opinion it was one of those shows that was only funny the first time you saw it. Watching the older episodes now, I still maintain that stance. The show feels a little under-cooked in the first 2-3 series or something. The characters are also as 2-D not just in look but in personality.

The later episodes though are brilliant- very witty and biting and bizarre. I also love how much they have developed Randy since the first series :lol:

Fave episodes would be 'Woodland Critter Christmas', 'Manbearpig' and the one where South Park loses its' internet. That last one I don't think would be a fave if Randy didn't play the role which he did in it. I'm sure we have all seen one particular scene from that episode on here a few times! ;-)

Anyway this show is simply amaaaazing. It makes me laugh on so many levels, not only the main characters, but the voices from random characters are so f**king funny :lol:

Easily my favourite cartoon show nowadays - I even like the older episodes. I think the only episode I don't like is that one about Pip (a rip-off of another tale)

Have to mention the scene from that episode where they fly the whale to the moon- they've snuck into the aquarium at night to kidnap the whale and it cuts to a security guard snoozing in his chair while sillouettes of the boys sneak across screen in the background. Obviously you can't tell who is who, but then the last boy stops halfway, faces the screen and then whispers:
"TIMMEH!"

My flatmate and I were pissing ourselves for nearly a whole minute after that! :lol: The Randy Marsh post-porn scene would've had the same effect on me if people hadn't spoilt it on here before I saw the ep! :x

The single funniest moment for me was when Kenny got into his parka backwards for his school photo, so his arse showed through the hood. I completely lost it. Was struggling to breathe I was laughing that much.

I am shameful, I only have Season 10 on dvd. However it's got some awesome episodes like Make love not Warcraft.

My favourite character is Butters. He's just so innocent and gullible, but says the funniest sh*t.

I first got into South Park when it first came on, however I didn't know about it for the first week or two. My first one was Starvin' Marvin.

I think the only time I laughed very hard at the show was the first time I saw the first Mr.Hanky episode. That being said, the episode where everyone craps outta their mouths rates quite highly with me!
