we might suck but that puts things into perspective.. An utterly gutless display by a team without a spine..
That pretty much sums it up.

Whenever Australia lose they still show the guts and determination expected of them. For instance they were completely outlcassed in India and yet could quite plauisbly have left with a 1-1 series draw had it not been for Punters brian explosion. Same against RSA.

But when the chips are down for England they just give up. Something is still obviously very wrong behind the scenes but thats no excuse for highly paid sportsmen.

But really when you take out the 2005 Ashes and a tour to RSa before it, England have been sh*t and still are for the best part of 20 years.

The 2005 Ashes was the exception.. Obviously for years they have had too many dressing room problems and it is obvious there are various factions in the team.. They could still win the 2009 Ashes but they need to play as a team.. Something for most of the last 20 years they have not done.

Englands main problem is a real weak batting line-up.

Strauss is a quality opener and Pietersen is one of the top 2 or 3 batsmen in the world. But after that its an abomination.

Cook has be woeful lately. Bell is one of the worst no.3 batsmen in history. Collingwood is solid at best, especially lately. Flintoff is a great no.7 but has never been a no.6 and Prior is one of a long line of ordinary keeper/batsmen.

So we are really weak with the batting atm. Granted Australia have an average attack but they will have alot more success against our line-up than our bowlers will have against Australias still pretty fine batting line-up.

Home ground advantage for England is the only reason a potential English victory is even being discussed.
