Why did the NSWRL & NSW-CRL Not Merge ??

Can anyone explain to me under the new structure why the NSWRL and NSW-CRL did not merge

and act the the same capacity as the QRL

On teh fringes of Sydney there is no desire to be a unified state

Rather Central Coast & Camden are all considered City regions but actually play under the CRL

And there is too much of a US v THEM attitude between Sydney based NSWRL and the NSW-CRL

This needs to be fixed up big time before a ture NSW Cup can EVER be setup

Firstly, they are merging at board level. But no one bothered to figure out how before the IC was decided on.

Secondly, Camden and the Central Coast are not part of Sydney and wouldn't have even been that close to Sydney in 1934 when the CRL started.

Thirdly the NSWRL are a basket case and the CRL is better off keeping well clear.

And fourthly who gives a toss about the NSW Cup. It's shit. But there is nothing stopping CRL teams from being in it anyway, just as there are and have been CRL teams in the Jim Beam and Bundy Red Cups. They would just need permission and that is just a formality. And there is also nothing stopping the Knights, Dragons and Raiders from entering teams in the NSW Cup without the CRL being involved.
