Joe Williams Halfback for numerous clubs was signed by the Dogs to fill the void in the creative playmaking position.
Although some initial sparks at the Rabbitohs in his career he consistintly failed to make the starting squad throughout his career.
Also being notoriusly inconsistent why did Folkes and GM think he could lead your team off the bottom of the ladder?
Also leaking players of the quality of Kane Cleal (now heading to the rabbits are only hurting ur side).
Kane played some quality football for u guys..
anyway rate the decision to sign Williams, could he ever fill the void at Halfback?

Kimmorley is playing better football now because he doesn't have to worry about trying to impress for origin anymore. It's been proven that when long-term rep players retire from rep footy, their club game improves. The likes of Brad Fittler, Gordon Tallis and Tonie Carroll are fine examples.

I'd say you're right in regards to Fittler but your use of Tallis and Carroll are way off the mark.

Tallis didn't have the best 04 from memory. Some fine performances here and there but hardly the player he was pre-neck injury.

While Carroll's best year was in 06/07 when he was a feature for Queensland.

Webcke on the other hand is a perfect substitute. When he announced his retirement from represenative football in 2005 he lifted his game enormously and the Broncos would win games off of the back of his efforts. As soon as he'd leave the field, the Broncos would clock off.

Id argue that is wrong. Kimmorely played his best football when he was competing against johns for the NSW 7. Ever since then he has fallen away.
