Are you sick of seeing the Broncos play on Friday night?

Channel 9 putting the Broncos on every Friday is contributing to alcoholism in Australia & NZ due to people wanting to go out and get pissed instead of watching them in the 2nd game.

I can't think of anything more sleep inducing than a Friday night Bronco borefest.

I've been over it for a long time now. It is unfair on other teams also who aren't able to consistently get 7 day breaks. Ever since they brought it in, I've wanted Brisbane to finish near the bottom of the ladder. I've wanted the broncos poor form to effect the ratings for channel 9.

The problem is donkeys fans won't watch a game not involving their team, even games involving the other Queensland teams, so channel 9 are pretty much forced to show all their games in their prime time slot, which is Friday night. It is unfair, in that the donkeys never have to deal with a 5 day turnaround, and they get so much more exposure for their sponsors than clubs like Canberra or Cronulla or even Melbourne. But it is what it is, and unfortunately won't be changing any time soon.

I'm a Broncos fan and I hate them being on every Friday night, mainly because the club's preferred timeslot would be Sunday afternoons. More Sunday afternoon games would increase crowds and is more family friendly.

That's another factor I forgot to mention. Ray Hadley's commentary makes me want to vomit. Anytime he's commentating I have music playing.

CH9s presentation of Rugby League is horrible, so I only watch Sharks games on replay.

Dont know why you blame the Broncos. Your banging your heads against a brick wall if you think the Cows or Titans will hold a Brisbane Audience over a Broncos match.

The games have been pretty good this year with teams against the Broncos. Some good close exciting matches, up with the top 10 games this year most games.
So point one, the Broncos give Friday night footy consistency. Not many teams can do that.

They have a massive fanbase, around 1.3 million people like watching the Broncos. That is dollar signs to gidgel.
Point 3/
The NRL is to blame for the situation Queensland finds itself in at the moment.
As a writer today in the paper pointed out, "WHEN IS BRISBANE EVER GOING TO GET A PROPER DERBY" and when they do, they can also share Friday night games around a bit more.
Until then, switch it off, i will be watching, because outside the Roosters, the comp is a weak watered down contest.
