I think part of Matai's form over the last 2 years can be put down to the world class 5/8 inside him. When Foran plays, Matai invariably gets good ball to work with on the back of good field position.

Warriors need a gun hooker IMO. Someone who is in the middle of the field touching the ball all game and can control things.

Foran has missed quite a lot of games, and Matai had still stood up and played great. Foran has hit Horo a lot more than Matai.

Curtis Rona > Raiders.

yeah saw this rumour posted yesterday on another forum. I dont know what the raiders would need another outside back for. Ricky's coaching instruction manual clearly states the following:

Step 1. Lose heaps of games, do not hold players accountable

Step 2. Eventually hold all players accountable and clean out roster

Step 3. Fill roster with back rowers

Step 4. Collect spoon

Step 5. Move on to next club.

For sure, I understand that. And it's a bit of a shame that clubs can be put over a barrel like that. But if he's on $200k now and his manger thinks he can get $400k+, the player will want to get some. Whether it's an upgrade and extension at the current club or an early release, something usually happens. If T'eo leaves then there should be a few bucks to upgrade him, which would be good. He seems to love souths.

At the end of this season Mcqueen has every right to sign with whoever he wants for however much he wants for the 2016 season. The only way he is getting paid more in 2015 is if he agrees to an extension with us. If not we're going to have him for 200k for 2015. End of story.

SMH...

Serious question... Are you geniused or something??

You put that comment out there... Completely ignoring the fact the Souths signed Glenn Stewart on massive overs... Yeah Glenn Stewart... Who's older than Matai... And is far more injury prone than Matai is...

And Matai to the Warriors is a rumour... You guys have actually made the Glenn Stewart deal...

Stewart is not on overs. 400k a year for an elite forward is not overs.

Good point. Souths released their best forward before his contract was up so no doubt they will really dig their heels in for this bloke.

It's one thing to lose one back rower who probably has an under the table agreement to come back after the WC, it's another to lose three

I wouldnt mind Thompson coming back, but as long as it isn't at the expense of some junior.

Having said that, it'd be like the Simpsons episode where homer quits the power plant and then has to go crawling back when he finds out Maggie is coming. We could give Thompson the same plaque Monty gave homer:
