Yeah, they're all on massive unders which is why they've continually lost players they'd rather not have and have now lost Stewart because of salary cap pressures. It's why they can only ever afford to replace them with bargain buys like Horo or NYC pickups like Hiku. It's both a blessing and curse that these bargains usually turn out good.

Matai wants to go if Manly refuses to give him a long term deal. Manly isn't geniused and they won't give an injury prone player a long term deal into his 30s. He'll be released to get paid 700k a year into his mid 30s by the stupid franchise across the ditch.

Wright is dead set useless and worse than Thompson, Stanley and Brown as well as wing fill ins like Inu, Perrett and probably anyone in NSW cup or NYC.

There was a rumour that Brown and Browne were talking to the Broncos but I can't see Wright being a fill in option.

The back is in career best form...

The forward has not been able to capture his best form for over 2 seasons now because he keeps getting injured.

Not actually saying signing Glenn Stewart is a bad thing... I think if you have burgess money to spend... Why not...

And I also think Matai would be a dumb signing for the warriors.

But it's a bit hypocritical of BM... To say what he did when his own club has done exactly the same.

Officially it won't be an offer, more an expression of interest. Everyone knows McQueen wants an upgrade. Officially he is under contract, but that is just a conversation away from ending under certain circumstances.

I think part of Matai's form over the last 2 years can be put down to the world class 5/8 inside him. When Foran plays, Matai invariably gets good ball to work with on the back of good field position.

Warriors need a gun hooker IMO. Someone who is in the middle of the field touching the ball all game and can control things.

For sure, I understand that. And it's a bit of a shame that clubs can be put over a barrel like that. But if he's on $200k now and his manger thinks he can get $400k+, the player will want to get some. Whether it's an upgrade and extension at the current club or an early release, something usually happens. If T'eo leaves then there should be a few bucks to upgrade him, which would be good. He seems to love souths.

I'd rather retain McQueen at 300k than Te'o for 600k that's for sure. Think that's how Souths need to think as well.
