Never understood this, why come into the NRL forum if you want to watch the game on delay?

1) I already knew the score, but that doesn't make the OP any less of an idiot

2) I didn't come into the NRL forum, but when the title is visible from the main forum index it doesn't take two plus two to figure it out.

3) It's very easy to post without finding out info on this forum - unless idiots post obvious spoilers.

If you were a serious fan you would be watching the game and not reading posts in this forum until after the game is over on TV in the southern hemisphere!

I'm not a serious fan. You're still a trolling idiot.

Remi Casty was on for less minutes than Sam Moa. However when you compare their stats:

Moa made 9 carries for 63 metres (average 7 metres) and made 17 tackles.
Casty made 6 carries for 42 metres (average 7 metres) and made 19 tackles.

So their carry performances are comparable but Casty was a more active tackler than Moa today. Plus he got a try.

So I would suggest that barring injury Casty is likely to hold a permanent bench spot this season. His only challenge is the upcoming young champion Willis Meehan.

When you take account of Kane Evans as another reserve prop, then it is obvious that the Roosters have great depth in the forwards.

For the record, the only other "pure" Frenchman to have played in the NRL was Jerome Guisset, who made 4 appearances in the forwards for the Canberra Raiders in 1999, at age 21. He had previously played in the Canberra Raiders junior setup. (Later he joined Warrington Wolves in Super League where he made 138 appearances 2000-2004, Wigan where he made 22 appearances in 2005, and Catalans where he made 141 appearances 2006-2010). Guisset who played second row and later mostly prop, never scored a try in Australia (though he scored 39 with Super League clubs). Guisset has represented France but is now retired as a player and is assistant coach at Catalans.

Benjamin Garcia, a second row forward from the Vaucluse region in France came to Australia in 2013 at age 20, and played in the Brisbane Broncos Under 20s, but never played NRL. In late 2013 he was signed by Catalans, where he is a second choice back rower.

Jason Baitieri, born in Paris in 1989 to a French mother and an Australian father (former player and coach, and currently RLIF official Tas Baitieri), is a lock forward who played one game for the Sydney Roosters in 2010. He was then invited by Trent Robinson to France where he signed a contract to play with Catalans Dragons, (for whom he has made 84 appearances and scored 13 tries) in Super League (Europe). Jason Baitieri is in essence binational -- a citizen of France and Australia.

So Remi Casty is not the first Frenchman to have played in the NRL, but he is the first to have scored a try in the NRL and, barring serious injury, he is likely to become the longest serving French player in the NRL -- perhaps as soon as two weeks from now.

Is Albert Rosenfield a second coming of BBSF, the old stager who was obsessed with the Prince of Plodders, Luke Covell?

. . So next week, when Remi is coming off an interchange, and stumbles on a drink bottle will you start a new thread titled " Remi Castri . . . the first Frenchman in the NRL to kick a water bottle on the sideline ?" ?

The first Frenchman to be given a Blowie by Albert Rosenfield before and after scoring a try in the NRL. No big deal, it was bound to happen eventually.

Surely Dimitri Pelo counts, he was born in New Caledonia which is a part of France.

Dominique Peyroux scored 3 tries for the titans.

Dominique Peyroux is not, despite his name, French. He has some French ancestry but more Pacific Island ancestry. Peyroux was born in New Zealand, and has represented Cook Islands, not France, in the World Cup.

The first Frenchman to play in the NRL/NSWRL was Jacques Moliner who played 1 or 2 games for Penrith in 1987.

And I'm pretty sure that Jamie Lyon, who had a whole effin French city named after him he's that French, has scored in the NRL.
