WICKS RETURNS FROM WILDERNESS

FOUR NRL clubs have expressed interested in signing former Knights forward Danny Wicks, the player making a comeback from a four-year drug ban.

The NRL integrity unit has cleared Wicks’ return for 2015 and he can begin team training from this October.

Amazing how many people were mesmerised by Hayne, Mortimer's mediocracy between '09 and '13 was accepted and Hayne's was disregarded . . . probably to do with Parramatta needing both a martyr and a scapegoat simutaneously.

All's well that ends well, the four years I spent ridiculing Jarryd's complacency have been relegated by his terrific performances this year. I still have hopes that Mortimer can regain the status he showed glimpses of attaining when everyone was singing his praises

Doubt Mortimer is silly enough to head to a side desperate for cover, when he can wait to sign for another side with more guarantees of a starting role 2015 and beyond.
