Tanginoa is quick and powerful, but he lacks skill, aggression and height.

He's got potential but so do plenty of other kids in our squad.

No idea mate - hadn't heard this one until tonight.

Cheers, mate.

Would be a real shame to see Kelepi walk. On the flip side, if the call came from Brad Arthur I will support it, even if it is a bitter pill to swallow.

He's 20, how much coin would he be on??? He was re-signed in 2012 at 18 so would it be worth letting a bloke of his promise go and keep a squad full of plodders like Lussick,Allgood and Mossop. Peni and him are similar players but i would take Kelepi any day of the week over him.

Didn't we go through this Kelepi thing about 2 weeks ago?

If it is true, then I'd find it difficult to believe that Ando is doing all this on his own....surely the coach has made a decision about the balance of the squad and our salary cap position.

Forwards contracted at the club for next season i would let go before Kelepi

Allgood
Lussick
Mossop
Peni

Thats of the top of my head, he is still eligible for 20's FFS!! how can you judge a kid at this age???

Taumalolo has taken a few years to show what he can do but the cowboys have stuck by him, this will a massive mistake if we let this kid go. Truly pissed off at this.

Who would take those guys contracts? If we let them go, we still pay them.
Plus, coach Arthur prefers all of them to Kelepi as first graders, maybe that is saying something?

Then there is always attitude. Perhaps someone felt entitled to firsts and was unhappy with their lot.

Let's not forget our back row stocks look decent for the next few years.

Manu, Edwards, gower, Pauli Pauli and moeroa.

If these guys are all ahead of kelepi, am I missing something here???????

Kelepi hasn't played second row all season, the club view him as a prop.

So players contracted in the middle for next year

Allgood
Peni
Lussick
Mossop.

Have any of these plodders got as much upside as Kelepi??

Him and Peni are similar players but I would take Kelepi over him any day of the week.

I don't follow the lower grades much but did hear he was playing prop. Wasn't sure if twas a stop gap or full time switch.

Having said that, how has his form been???? Maybe he has lost some pace after his leg injuries???

I'm sure BA knows what he is doing

unfortunately he has been injured for most of the year, but from all reports when fit was our best forward in U20's. I just think at age 20 it to early to let this kid go. Especially when I think our middle forwards are pretty average for next season. I had no problems with the club letting Loko go but Kelepi seems like a great kid who will come back to haunt us. 40/20 has a big wrap on him and his opinion I rate very highly.

I seriously think that a lot of people don't realise this.

Maroubra was a bit harsh in calling them stupid though...

Maybe he wasn't harsh?

In the end, I'm sure we'd all love to get rid of the plodders. But what's the point if we can't actually replace them, because we're still paying for them?
If Kelepi is making halfway decent coin, and can't make it past Mitch Allgood, then perhaps getting out while we can is the best option anyway? [IF that is what is happening]

Aren't we doing the same with Kelepi??? If his attitude is the problem then that is a different matter but from all reports he is a great kid who works hard. Still not sure what we gain as I hardly think he would be in huge coin after being re-signed in 2012 as a 18 yr old.

Arthur rates Joseph Paulo and Gower. Letting Tanginoa go may allow him to re-sign these players. I reckon the rumours of Kade Snowden may be true especially if we are letting go of a potential prop like Kelepi. As far as the second row he is now way down in the pecking order. There is no way he is better than Edwards, Mau, Moeroa or Pauli. We also have Alioia coming through who is a gun with a bigger motor than Kelepi. I hope he stays but I can understand why we are looking to offload him.

Hope it isn't true, but then again if the decision has been made, so be it.

It will be interesting to see if Allgood finds another club as well, given recent reports he was given permission to look elsewhere.

Im a fan of Kelepi's as well but it appears the club is now making sound decisions based on an actual plan. Lets face it. How long has it been since an obvious plan has been put in place? Id say we would have to go back to Smithy for a realistic plan. Ill back Arthur on this one. Lets just wait and see how this all pans out. A little dissappointment now could mean much joy down the track.
