Great end to the season .. would be very interesting to work out the ladder if you only did the last half of the season

We've proven we're a quality side. The back end of the game didn't really help that case but man, the past three months have been very enjoyable. We have so much to be excited for next year and if we can find consistency and we can have a season that doesn't involve the club almost collapsing or the coach deciding to leave or pea hearts finding every possible reason to quit then we should have an enjoyable 2015.

Or maybe I'm just being too optimistic.

Let's just hope we have an off season where the players train and there's no bullshit involved. A solid few months preparing for 2015 without distraction.

I'd also like the contract situation with the Mata brothers sorted asap and want players fit enough to perform from round 1 onwards. Dont want to be reading about Kade Snowden needing 16 rounds of footy to get match fit again.

I checked the last 11 rounds prior to this one but it's annoying with byes. We were 3rd with a negative differential and the two teams below us had played 1 less game. Good finish to the season mostly, at least they put in for the home fans.

Stupid that a couple more wins after the season we have had and we would have been in the finals.

Thank God, it's finally over. I didn't think it was going to end for a while there. So fitting that today's game went for like 3 hours

Great end to season like you have all said. But I'm less optimistic about 2015. I remember myself saying last year "wow we nearly made the GF. Let's bring in next year and go one better as the team clearly knows how to play together". Then... This happened. I know there were some things out of our control. But still.

Anywho. 5 months and counting.

Season finished as good as it started.

We were looking like we'd win the 9's comp until Mullen did his hammy and that's where it went downhill for us, until about 2 months ago.

As mentioned in the first post. If you were to compile the NRL ladder from mid season we'd be sitting comfortably in the top 4 along with the Roosters, Rabbitohs and Cowboys.

With a good off season and no injuries next season we could be anything. We beat both the roosters and storm in our good run. Add Tariq sims and our developing juniors the future looks good. Just really wish we kept cuthbo, I would start him at prop with snowden. Both have good ball handling skills.

100% agree, letting Cuthbertson go is a dumb move from us.

6th actually, but could have been 2nd with better F/A.

To be honest I'm not certain losing Cuthbo was a self-inflicted f**k up that we could have avoided. He absolutely wanted to go to the UK and has been talking about wanting to do it for years now (he has a family connection). Even if we resolved the Tinkler crap faster and offered him a contract I'm not sure he would have knocked back that UK deal anyway.

I don't understand why anyone would want to play over there. The pay is worse, conversion rate is 50 cents in the dollar and the weather is shite.

First half of the year they played very boring. It was a chore to sit and watch the crap they dished up. At least the last few games at home have at least given the crowd something to cheer.

100% the crowd has responded to the enterprising play.

Last two games the word from Bennett in the sheds at halftime has been to cut out the offloads. Good thing the players stopped listening.

I know! I was watching the game and just after the second half started they shared the messages from the coaches and I can't believe Bennett's message was to stop the offloads...
