Agreed. I think we're wasting everyone's time if he wont come until 2016. I'm guessing the contract has been signed as a negotiation point for a release next year.

I can still seeing us have to release some players for next year to make it happen.

You're kidding, themule. He's the only Manly forward that's been having a go this past month.

Can still play, and still playing injured. He'll be quality again next year but he is on the decline. A one year deal would be nice but hardly an incentive for him to come to Parra.

It might now mean Seph Paulo wont be re-signed? Maybe we can send Seph and Allgood to manly.Would probably go a fair way to watmoughs contract.Throw in loko release and theres the coin.Maybe there was mre to why we let Loko an tanginoa go and this is the reason.
I still expect another signing on top of this.Allgood will get a release(I tip Melbourne) as a year in wenty will mean no one will take him.Best he goes nw while he is still know in first grade.

The Manly site has him just turning 31. Which means he will turn 35 in his last year of the contract.

He seems to be the type of player that looks after himself. Hopefully he holds up and gives us some value.

Why would he come for 3 years from next year if he has signed for 3 years from 2016? It will be a 4 year deal if he comes next season surely.

We need him for next year. If he doesn't come next year it's a bad deal!

If it's any consolation, the salary cap should be a lot bigger in 2018.

It actually wouldn't shock me one bit if we signed Watmough for 2015, but released Hopoate to go back to Manly.

Why weaken the one area we actually have had success in?

Going in to next season with Morgan and Champion as our starting centres would be nothing short of idiotic.

Manly wont let foran or DCE go . They have a gun fullback coming thru so don't be surprised if they let Brett stewart go.

They would than have money to sign a few younger forwards which is what they will need.
Manly are smart enough to know who to keep and who is not worth it.They know while they have those two halves they can build a competitive team.
