We were losing money over the last seven years? I thought 3P fixed all that after they got elected... and now we hear from the CEO that we lost money over the four years Roys boys were in charge of the joint as well? ;-)scott seward said:"I would expect that we will have 50,000 members and I expect we would have turned a club that's bled money and lost a lot of money for the last seven years into a profitable, self-sustaining football club."
Seward's proven he's full of shit but he says all the right things.
Very brave stating that he wants to win two premierships! Why not five Scott? Are we planning not to win three???

Thank goodness we've now got some people that know what they're doing in the place finally!

Seward was talking about the football club, which receives grants from the leagues club to get in the black. Spags was talking about getting the leagues club right.
Seward is working towards getting the football side of things to stand alone without the leagues club grant, an admirable objective for ongoing success
do yo really expect him to cough up all details of private negotiations for all the other clubs to hear about ?
The 5/2/50 is a direct spin off the Hawthorn model of 2007 when Jeff Kennett took over. At the time the membership was around 30000 and no premierships since 1991.
The "business plan" was five years, two premierships and 50000 members.
Since 2008 , Hawthorn has two flags, one runner up , top 4 for all but two seasons, last four prelim finals and 60000 members and is basically the benchmark for the AFL.
As Sterlo once said , you only can ever hit what you aim for , so you may as well aim high.
I truly believe that these are finally exciting times for the Parramatta Eels and all of us devout supporters
Smart move by ceo. He realises he has nothing to lose as we sack ceo's regulary, so he makes this huuuge statement and if it comes off by sheer coincidence, then he looks like a genius and have a long career.
What about if it doesn't come off?
