I'm hoping for a Saints win but think Wigan will win by 20. Could be similar to the NRL grand final where Saints stay in touch for most of the game before falling away at the end. That's how I see it going anyway. Sadly with it being a 3am kick off up here I won't be able to watch live but it should be a good one.

Yes, being Brisbane based as well I'll be having my Sunday morning breaky with the replay of the GF on.

Would have preferred to have some team outside the usual core four combatants but such is life.

Saints to sneak home for me.

Out of curiousity does anyone wish their were curtain raiser / lower grade finals on the day or is that just how it has always been ?

Never even been considered, it's Manchester United's pitch and I doubt they would be happy about two or three games of RL being played on it in a row. Plus it's a pretty dangerous ground to play at TBH with steep drops at every side of the field and high potential for injury.

The Challenge Cup final at Wembley has the national schools Year 7 (under 12s) final as a curtain raiser, which is great.

Yes i was lucky enough to visit Old Trafford last year for the RLWC final, so understand the issues you mention EH.

Maybe we are just so used to seeing multiple games on RL GF day in Australia. Outside the NRL day with the U/20's and State Championship finals, were the NSWRL finals day with the Sydney Shield, Ron Massey Cup and NSW Cup and the QRL finals day with the FOGS Colts; FOGS A Grade and Qld Intrust Super Cup. So 3 lots of 3 games.

That said i'm pretty sure no curtains raisers happen for the AFL OR A - League finals. Super Fifteen ???

Wouldnt be surprised if the NRL GF was eventually a stand alone day.

Bowen's had his ups and downs. Moments of brilliance and also moments of madness. Some games he still looks world class, others you scratch your head and wonder what he's doing.

I thought Bowen was pretty poor v Warrington, some real big mistakes which could have cost them the game.
He could easily turn it around and play a blinder in the G.F

Well it's 3:10am & the program hasn't started yet. A triathlon is still on , with 6kms to go.

Has it all started yet?
