Ins: Reece Robinson (Raiders), Beau Champion (Rabbitohs), Isaac De Gois (mid-season - Sharks), Richie Fa?aoso (Sea Eagles), Cody Nelson (Titans), Ben Crooks (Hull FC), Shannan McPherson (Salford Red Devils)

When you put our signings together so far. And Wow!!! It looks like a "quality" group coming in. Daniel Anderson's slogan is "if you don't want em, don't worry we'll take in your shit"
i thought it was " can we win a premiership with this player"

Somehow the answer was yes.

so how the hell can the Dogs afford him ?

Simple mate

They have the luxury of ANZ Stadium which can host up to 100 or more corporate suites.

They have a admin set up that is the best in the league

Training facilities first class. They have their own altitude machine hence why their props last longer minutes.

They have a coach who can recruit players of quality and not the quality we are signing.

They have a few board members who are street smart and professional business people who run their own successful businesses.

They have a 3rd party network who chip in thousands of dollars and have the best leagues club in NSW from a profit and sales perspective.

They will play finals footy for the next 5 years.

Similar things were said about players going to the Rabbitohs. And how did that work out?
We have a high quality young coach, a plethora of young quality players, a rabid fanbase. Manly's time has come and gone. The Eels time is about toi come. Foran knows this. He is smart. Why stay at a sinking ship when a more glorious future at the Eels awaits?

All our signings are depth players. But ones who can still do a job -Just like MoiMoi and smith, who could still do a job.Difference is they are costing half the amount.

I believe we have signed these guys so we don't lose some of our up an coming juniors. If we went out and signed a gun centre and wing, than we may as well let goodal-falou-Davis all go now as they wont be hanging around in wenty for 4 years.

Same goes with our forwards. Unless you don't think Tepai-Pauli-Jnr Paulo-Mau can make it as NRL stars you risk losing them by signing guys who are top 17.

I have a lot of faith in the juniors coming thru and our squad balance. I think those four guys I mentioned can be super players and id hate too lose them.Same goes with Matterson.
You don't come into first grade and be a star.It take 2-3 years to adjust. These guys could all end up in NSW/NZ

Oh yeah, replacing Foran, Santi, Harrison, Loko, Sio, Tanginoa, Smith, MoiMoi, Pewhairangi, Evans and Cummins with those blokes is a horrible idea....

Sure, losing Hayne sux. But we didn't sign any of those guys to replace Hayne, they are mostly experienced players who can step into the backup roles vacated by the schmucks I listed.
We are still allegedly after Watmough, plus have Hayne's cash to splash now. Let's wait until the book is finished being written before going off half cocked?

Please don't talk sense on here

They also identified that they needed a top class fullback and didn't dit around fretting that no one was on the market or didn't have enough notice.

They got a top shelf player from another club while still under contract.

And all this despite not ending any of their players to an nfl team to impress everyone with how "professional" they are.

Just like the superleague war maybe there will be a forum split.
The guys who think we are doomed forever now Hayne has left and the guys who believe in there club....
Seriously-the guy was going to get old and retire at some point. We move on

I thought when Hayne retired we were handing back our NRL license... Isn't that what Denis said? He did say he couldn't guarantee our future - maybe he knew Hayne was leaving...

Yeah and they did it in 10 days while there coach and ceo were overseas.

Cry me a river all you merkins who think the club isnt trying its hardest to replace Hayne and settle the squad as quickly as possible. How many of you have run multi million dollar sports franchises before agsin?

My supercoach team was valued at over 6 million by the end of the season and I won my league. I could sort it out

Doesn't matter how much revenue and financially well run the club is Jodeci, they still operate under the same salary cap.

So how do they manage to stay under that with at least 4 current origin players as well as an expensive pommy forward?

3rd party payments perhaps??
