Hey, Jodeci, who are you unhappy with? The coach, or the board, or Daniel Anderson, or Jarryd Hayne for leaving, or who? Why all the negativity?

The signings. We have the perfect opportunity to nail some top notch signings and all we have done is sign has beens.

Most of the dead wood has been moved on yet we continue to bring in players of no quality.

I don't think these are signings BA would make in my opinion though I suppose he may be told that we can only sign these types of blokes due to reasons we dont know.

I've met and known a lot of people in the club over the years and most of them are no longer there, doesn't mean I stop supporting the club and every fan/member can show their frustrations as well.

Personally I dont think Watmough is worth $600k, are we going to get $600k worth out of him? Is he a match winner? Is he gonna win us the game with a minute on the clock, are we gonna give him the ball on the 5th tackle?

Your playmaker/organiser should be on that type of money, not a backrower. We look to be heading back to the days when our no.11 (Hindy) is our highest paid player, those days are gone and you need to be spending the cash on your spine cause they are the blokes who are gonna get us in the 8.

You wouldn't hear Cowboys fans cheering if Thurston left and people use the term "Oh thank god he has gone, we can now buy a decent 6 and 9".

It's just silly if you ask me.

Do you really think Watmough would be our highest paid player on 600k? A good game winning spine player is going to cost 1 million a season these days. Without forwards going forward and getting quick play the balls it doesn't matter what players you have in the 9, 7, 6 and 1.

At $600k, he will be the highest paid player in the team and that is fact.

I'll take your word for it.

I think you'll find plenty of good forwards will be on 600k. To replace Hayne with a player near that calibre in a spine position it will cost 1 million, possibly more, considering our position.

How f**king dumb are you merkins!

It's an opportunity to rebalance our squad and bring in more of what we need (toughness and experience that isn't chronically injured or 35 years old). We don't need to replace Hayne with attacking backline talent - we already have plenty in Sandow and Hopoate. We need to improve our defence, especially in the middle because it was atrocious this year.

We are able to replace Hayne with a player who is already at the club, on half the money, and who is better than half as good. That means we get more value at the fullback position while freeing up funds to improve the rest of the squad.

You have seriously lost the plot. We have lost our most attacking player and replacing him with Watmough is the right step?

That will do me.

We are not replacing Hayne with Watmough. We are replacing him with Hoppa or whoever plays fullback. By all accounts we were after Watmough before Hayne decided to abandon ship. Watmough has been recruited for vastly differently skills then what Hayne provided.

 we aren't replacing him with Watmough.

Watmough has been a must signing for us before Hayne left, he will add what we have been missing in our forwards, a thug! Someone who will consistently do his work no matter what.

I think Hoppa is going to surprise a lot of people on here by how much he softens the loss of Hayne

Hoppa has the passing game to be a good fullback.... It's just his lack of pace that worries me.

Manly Sea Eagles forward Anthony Watmough meeting Parramatta Eels officials to negotiate early release

Anthony Watmough's high-profile move from Manly to Parramatta could be finalised on Tuesday when he meets Eels officials and coach Brad Arthur.

The representative back-rower has been on holidays in Thailand but is now back in Sydney and ready to determine once and for all where his future lies.

Watmough is understood to have agreed in principle to a three-year contract at Parramatta beginning in the 2016 season but the Eels are keen to have him on board immediately, contingent on a release being ticked off on by Manly.

The hope is that his signing can be formalised as soon as possible, allowing him to join his new teammates for their off-season venture to the United States.

The Parramatta squad will fly to Seattle on Monday only weeks after now departed co-captain Jarryd Hayne enjoyed his own club-sponsored visit there to take in an NFL and an American college football game.

Watmough is seen by Arthur, who is close to him from his days as a Manly assistant coach, as a key acquisition that can add vital experience to a talented but young Eels forward pack as he seeks to take the next step and return the club to the finals.

The move struck a potential hurdle last week when the Penn family effectively performed a takeover of ownership at Manly but it's believed that the Sea Eagles' salary cap status is such that they aren't in a position to keep him even if he now wanted to stay.

I reckon we've maybe used a bit of Haynes money as a 'sweetener' to get the Watmough deal across the line with Manly.
