David Hala or Bryce Gibbs anyone ? Both are looking for clubs.

I reckon we have enough front rowers, but would have preferred either of those two over macpherson (obviously it depends on what macpherson is on)

Hayne replacements imminent

Parramatta officials are promising to announce some new signings within the next few weeks. We hear there will be some interesting additions to an Eels squad still shaken at losing superstar Jarryd Hayne.

Some 'interesting' additions....

What does that mean? (nice coverall IMO - whomever we get, good or bad, is covered by 'interesting')

Certainly not gospel, but Georgie Rose congratulating Watmough on twitter for the new deal and telling Darcy Lussick to look after him, to which he replied "the west is ready for the lunatic".

Nothing that can't be fixed with better go-forward and more dangerous second rowers. Will we have better go forward and more dangerous second rowers in 2015? I think so.

I don't agree with that at all. I think Canterbury had very good go forward and dangerous forwards and yet their ability to score tries from within the opposition twenty was severely hampered by the lack of a dangerous centre and fullback. We scored pretty well until Tonga was unavailable. Peats will make a big difference of course (his defence is rightly praised, but he's a quality attacking hooker as well), but if Hoppoate goes to fullback, we're going to need two quality attacking centres to be able to compete. Centres who can either score tries themselves or set up their wingers. Champion might fill the bill on one side, but I think we need another one at least. That's why I'd rather leave Hoppa in the centres and concern myself with filling the fullback spot if I was the coach.

I think you'll find an abnormally large proportion of our tries in the 1st half of the season were from long range (and included a few intercepts etc).
